On
Sunday, April 25, 2010 CBS TV will air the Hallmark Hall of Fame movie,
"When Love is Not Enough - The Lois Wilson Story" at 9 pm Eastern /
8pm Central. The movie depicts the life of Lois and her struggles with her
husband's drinking. Lois is the Co-Founder of Al-Anon; her husband, Bill
is the co-founder of AA.
Please contact the local
CBS affiliate, preferably by April 10th, and request they play the Al-Anon
Public Service Announcement as their viewers of this movie may relate to Lois
and will need to know where to find Al-Anon locally. Our PSA vendor, TV
Access will gladly provide the format your station needs. To request a new
copy of the PSA, the TV station should simply call 1-800-944-9134. WSO has
provided a script to use when call CBS. A

Also, please contact local newspapers and ask
them to print our Press
Release. If you need help here are the Instructions.

To my fellow Al-Anons,
I've attached 3 documents from the WSO Public Outreach office. The first
one provides some information on new PSA releases that are available for Al-Anon
use. They are audio snippets. If needed or wanted, I will copy them
for you from the Public Outreach site. Just let me know.
The last 2 documents are a release that can be used with your local newspaper.
The news release memo provides directions for using the news release.
